Shoot 'em ups are seeing yet another resurgence thanks to indie developers. Many have taken to the 80s for inspiration, but usually this takes the form of simplistic retro graphics. NIGHTHAW-X3000 still features pixel art, but uses coloration, music, and the general "feel" of the 80s to power itself.

This is obvious from the first screenshot or video you see of NIGHTHAW-X3000 in action. There will be tons of upgradeable weapons and also room for two player local co-op. That's about all we know about NIGHTHAW-X3000 so far, but it's certainly looking good.

NIGHTHAW-X3000 is planned for a release this summer on Steam if it can get Greenlit.
