There was going to be only a very short time to go before A Fistful of Gun rides into the sunset of Early Access, ready to face a dusty new dawn of being a final release, and then Devolver Digital got impatient and pulled the trigger early.  As in, about two seconds before I was going to post this article on its awesome new pre-launch trailer, requiring a complete rewrite.  The pixelized western shooter has seen a massive number of changes and updates over the months since I first got to play it at PAX East back in April, but the core gameplay is as crazed and fun as its always been.  Grab one of eleven different outlaws, each one with his own unique control scheme designed for single-stick, twin-stick, or mouse and keyboard shooting, and blast your way across the wild plains, railroads, rivers, and canyons of the untamed frontier.  Single player is nice but the game really shines best in multiplayer, which can see up to nine players at once scrambling around the screen.  The new trailer is wonderfully insane and gives the game a theme song, and while there's only a few seconds of gameplay shown, you can get that over here instead.  A Fistful of Gun has been released to the world in its mostly final form, and the only thing that properly celebrates its arrival is a live-action trailer of high strangeness.
