It's been known for a while that DariusBurst Chronicle Saviours is on its way but when has been a bit of a mystery.  As of now, however, Degica has an official launch date for the PS4, Vita and PC versions of Taito's long-running mechafishy horizontal shooter.  DariusBurst is landing on PS4 and Vita on November 30, and Steam (Windows-only) December 3.  Eighteen years is a long time  to wait for a new big-screen Darius, with the last console version being G-Darius in 1998 on PS1.  After a years-long trip from PSP to arcade to mobile devices, though, DariusBurst is getting a definitive version with all the bells and whistles included.

While the Vita version is fairly standard, both PS4 and PC have special perks to differentiate them.  The PS4 and Vita share compatible saves and trophies, for example, and the controller lights up with your ship's color.  The PS4 version also comes with a digital art book, untranslated from Japanese but with plenty of pretty pictures that need no interpretation.  The PC version, on the other hand, supports the dual-monitor setup for ultra-wide-screen action, eliminating the severe letterboxing the arcade version would get on a standard monitor.  Both PS4 and PC versions support up to four-player local simultaneous co-op play, which is a lot of ships for a single screen.

What all versions will have, however, is a huge amount of horizontal shooting action.  Nine playable ships, forty bosses, a near endless amount of stages to unlock in Chronicle mode, and a Zuntata soundtrack that's as iconic as Darius' fish-themed enemies.  DariusBurst Chronicle Saviours doesn't go cheap on the content, and it's all hitting at once in just a couple of weeks.
