Amplitude first landed on the PlayStation 2 and became a cult classic of sorts, and it's one of those new age games that gamers in the United Kingdom really dig for some reason, whereas North American gamers have more fun with the likes of Gitaroo Man. Harmonix has long dominated the rhythm music genre, and they managed to acquire the rights to reboot Amplitude. First appearing on the PS2 back in 2003, the next revamped installment is set to land on both the PS3 and PS4 sometime in 2015.

Amplitude will have a cool multiplayer mode where plays can compete against each other and even work together in teams, allowing for  2 on 2 and 3 on 1 match-ups. Amplitude will also be playable at the upcoming PAX East, where the multiplayer component will also be demonstrated.

In the meantime, you can check out its neon-heavy gameplay trailer below, and also read our early coverage of the title here.
