There's a loophole in the idea of Infinity that seldom gets addressed.  We tend to think of an endless universe as one that stretches out forever, with every new place being distinct from the previous one. Mathematically the idea of infinite repetition gets a workout with something as simple as 1/3, which is 0.3333333... forever, and we have no problem with that, but the physical world has rules that define its space.  Manifold Garden doesn't care at all about this requirement, even a little.  Its spaces stretch out forever on all six axes, repeating as they go in an endless procession of looping architectural designs, creating spaces as awe-inspiring as they are functionally impractical.  To be fair, it's hard to make a human-practical space when every surface can be the floor and gravity is a function of the player's perspective.

Manifold Garden is a first-person puzzler about exploring impossible spaces and bringing them to life.  The square fruits that grow on trees can be used to activate switches to open doors, but usually only after figuring out how to persuade gravity to cooperate.  It's exceptionally tricky to hold a functional map of the world in your head, thanks to the way doors can open into whole new dimensions, but a little exploration, experimentation, and following the lit paths generally sets you on the right course and into a new and even more puzzling series of self-contained infinities.

The game has been in development for quite a while now but, as of October 18, it finally emerges onto the Epic Games Store and Apple Arcade.  Give a look to its new release date trailer below and get ready for a journey into Manifold Garden's endlessly-repeating architectural constructs.
