Astria Ascending is a turn-based JRPG reminiscent of some of the likes of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default. Players will guide a group of eight demigods as they fight to overcome the evil creatures spawned by a mysterious cycle.

Each has their own story, and each has their own set of skill and talents to unleash via Astria Ascending's "focus point" system. It's not completely clear how this system works, but it looks like players will be using it to upgrade skills mid-battle to better combat their enemies. If nothing else, this kind of battling should at least be interesting.

Astria Ascending launches on September 30 for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
