Wii Sports created a little sub-genre of motion-controlled athletic-based games, and Bandai Namco capitalized on it with Go Vacation in 2011. It offered up a wider array of sporting events than Nintendo’s own offerings, with a more extreme sports slant to things as well. Today, a remaster of the game was announced for the Nintendo Switch – enabling players around the world to enjoy virtual sporting events wherever they are. Since the launch of the Switch, players have wanted something that scratched the Wii Sports itch – and this is the closest experience yet on the Switch to do that. The re-release will hit the Switch in July – just in time for summer fun.
