Today, Bungie released a new video for Destiny 2's upcoming expansion, Warmind. The focus this time is on the game's new endgame mode: Escalation Protocol and what the team behind it want to accomplish with it. Escalation Protocol sounds similar to other modes that appeared in the original Destiny. The developers in the video, Jacob Benton and Ben Wommack, acknowledged this and went on to describe how Escalation Protocol is different from the likes of Prison of Elders, Court of Oryx and Archon's Forge.

Escalation Protocol will be activated on the normal world map instead of being cordoned-off in its own specific zone and will work in tandem with any public events that happen to activate while players are engaged with it. It'll also react to any increases or decreases in player ranks. The developers also said that challenge was a major emphasis in the design process for this new mode, saying that they're really hoping players will enjoy it.

Destiny 2: Warmind launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 8.
