Anyone who is anyone in video games knows that the most promising indie game around is currently under development in Toronto. Capybara Games, creators of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and the fantastic Super Time Force have been working on their third-person dungeon crawler, Below, for quite some time now. Thanks to a new trailer, we now know that the mysterious convention darling is set to launch on Steam and Xbox One at some point in Summer 2016.

For those of you who don't know anything about Below, think of the freakish four-way love child of 2D Zelda, Dark Souls, Journey and Spelunky. Players will attempt to explore the caves below the surface of a mysterious island, with every player death forcing them to start over with a brand new wanderer. What makes Below so interesting, aside from the fact that it seems like the perfect game to play alone with the lights off, is that it combines procedurally-generated environments with gorgeous set pieces. The result is a game with quasi-randomized environments that feels as though every inch of it has been hand-crafted.

In honor of the release window announcement (still no official date, even after its delay outside of 2015), Capy has released an awesome trailer showcasing some of the etherial action you can expect when Below launches this Summer:
