Cave and Degica hosted a Tokyo event today and announced the second PC release, Deathsmiles.  On the one hand, this is an obvious candidate seeing as it's one of Cave's more popular games, but it's hard not to be a bit disappointed that it's also one that's seen a worldwide release.

Still, it's a strong horizontal shooter with a built-in fan base, which has to be a major consideration in the early days of PC ports.  Information is still early, with no word on if Princess Tutu and the story mode that let you equip ability-enhancing items from the Deathsmiles mobile port will be making an appearance, and a release date unknown, but if this follows the progress of Mushihimesama then a reasonable guess is February-ish, or maybe late January if we're lucky. (-Update-  It's officially "Spring 2016.  That would make it sometime in March at the earliest.)

Check out the announcement below.  It's mostly in Japanese but the lady announcer gives out English translations here and there.  The presentation starts at 4:50, if you want to skip all that dead air, with the official announcement at 6:10.
