It's hard to believe Daedalic Entertainment's Deponia series is getting a fourth entry. If you're not familiar with the name, Deponia is a German adventure game series with a highly stylized cartoon art style and humorous dialogue. Since its debut in 2012, the adventure game saga has spawned three iterations, the last of which, Goodbye Deponia, wrapped things up relatively neatly, even though the final moments weren't entirely satisfying.

Regardless, Daedalic Entertainment is not quite done with the series just yet as they have announced Deponia Doomsday. The next step in the story takes place once again on Deponia where Elysium has fallen and Rufus decides to destroy the planet, or at least that was his vision. Travelling back and forth through time, Rufus will chaos chaos wherever he goes.

Deponia Doomsday is set to be the largest release in the series to date, containing roughly 20 hours of puzzle solving and storytelling, and over 100 different hand-drawn backgrounds. It will also feature all your favorite characters, including Goal, Toni, and even Wenzel.

Despite being announced today, Daedalic has basically pulled a Sega and revealed that Deponia Doomsday will be available in a couple of days on March 1 at the asking price of $29.99 via Steam.
