Prepare to return to Lordran and face the controller-throwing, disk-snapping, rage-inducing action that is Dark Souls once again. With two days until the official launch, Bandai Namco has released a full launch trailer for the highly anticipated Dark Souls: Remastered. In it, we're able to see familiar faces and places with upgraded textures in addition to new lighting and other ambient improvements. This remaster promises largely technical changes to the original game with 60 frames per second and 4K Resolution on a compatible monitor for the Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC. Those who own a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will enjoy 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second. Nintendo Switch owners will also experience 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second when docked, 720p resolution at 30 frames per second in handheld mode.

In addition to textural changes, quite a few changes have even been made to online multiplayer. Now the maximum players have increased from four to six with Password Matchmaking available so one can "git gud" with their buddies (or get mad, whichever you prefer). If PVP is your thing, a 3v3 and 6-player death-match Arena has been added with dedicated servers for all PVP. Other quality of life changes have also been made to the game. Players can now switch covenants at Bonfires. A new Bonfire has been added next to Vamos the Blacksmith for convenience's sake. It will now be possible to change the size of the User Interface in the settings. Finally, button configuration has been added (a common complaint throughout the years)  in addition to fixing numerous bugs in the game. Get ready to Praise the Sun once more, as Dark Souls: Remastered invades on May 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a later release date this Summer for the Nintendo Switch.
