PlayStation and PC owners who fell in love with the the Dead Rising franchise have never been able to enjoy the original game - but Capcom is going to change that very soon. With the tenth anniversary of the franchise, Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be released on the PS4 and Xbox One on September 13. A digital triple pack will be available for around $60, although pre-ordering saves you around $10.

Retail stores will get a disc with Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, so it looks like Off the Record will be a digital-exclusive. No word yet on if a code for Off the Record will be included, as the post detailing the release doesn't specify. It would certainly be odd to not do that though, so hopefully that winds up being the case and folks aren't getting less for their money buying it in disc form.  Dead Rising coming to a modern platform is great news, as the original release was a bit of a mess on the 360 and it should now be playable exactly as the developers intended and should be free of all the bugs and hiccups that plagued it a decade ago.
