Being separated from a loved one sucks.  There's a void where someone should be and no matter what distractions temporarily mask it the knowledge of their absence is waiting to remind you that someone important is inaccessible.  A Fold Apart is the story of Alex and Sam, two people (of whatever gender you assign them) who are trying to keep their relationship alive despite work taking them to different cities.  It's a long-distance romance that maybe doesn't have to be quite so frustrating thanks to the magic of a world on paper, which you can fold to make a path between the separated couple.  The levels are projected on two sides of a piece of paper and you'll need to use the differences between them to bridge the divide.  It may take a few folds plus moving Alex and Sam around a bit, but there's always a way to keep them together and prevent an insurmountable distance from eroding their love.

A Fold Apart is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in 2019, with the PC version at least aiming for an appropriate February 14 release date.  This was available at PAX East last April and I got to play a few levels of it, and can say that there's some good puzzling to be found behind the cuteness and melancholy.  Give a watch to the trailer below to see how their origami world makes bridging a painful division just a little bit easier than it would otherwise be.
