Devolver Digital was presumably heavily impressed by Strafe having one of the greatest trailers ever (though who wasn't impressed by it?), because the announcement was made today that they will now be publishing Pixel Titans' retro-inspired FPS game, complete with a new trailer that you can view below.

Looking back, this news shouldn't come off entirely as a surprise. Just earlier this year, Devolver also announced that they would be publishing OmniBus, another indie game inspired by the blocky early 32-bit era of gaming (complete with another astonishing trailer as well). And much like OmniBus, Devolver has shown a great deal of interest for Strafe via several social media outlets since its conception, so deciding to help give it more exposure seemed natural.

This news does come with a caveat, though, as you'll have to wait a bit longer for your old-school gore, with Strafe's release date now being set as Early 2017. And if you weren't excited already, hopefully the new trailer will do the trick. Heck, it already knows how you're going to react, as you'll see. Hopefully it also knows how much we're looking forward to this kind of old-fashioned blood-soaked fun, and ends up being the best damn shooter it can be when it comes out next year.
