Square Enix has announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy is coming to western shores in the form of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
Dissidia Final Fantasy was originally announced in 2015 as an arcade exclusive game. Built using PS4 tech, fans have been waiting a long time to hear when the fighting game would eventually receive a port on the platform. That wait is finally over, as Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has finally been announced.
Developed alongside Team Ninja, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT gives players control of over 20 legendary characters from the Final Fantasy franchise. The game will offer online and offline play as players clash in in 3v3 battles. Returning characters from previous entries include Warrior of Light, Tidus, Lightning, Garland, and Kefka. New characters include Ace, Ramza, and Y’shtola. We’re still waiting to hear if characters like Yuna, Tifa, Ultimecia, and Gabranth among others will be returning.
Square Enix will host a deep dive panel with Producer Ichiro Hazama, Director Takeo Kujiraoka, Justin Wong of Echo Fox and K-Brad at the E3 Coliseum on Tuesday, June 13 at 3:15 pm PT.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is out early 2018 exclusively on PS4.
