The highly-acclaimed PC game Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in August. Michael Douse, Director of publishing at Larian Studios, announced the news this morning. The previous version was available on both consoles, but its sequel offers much more depth than the original.

The game is a sandbox RPG that allows players to control a party of one to four. Players have the choice of six origin characters or to customize their own from the ground up. Original Sin 2 allows for single player, online or couch co-op.

"The game world consists of a fantastic realm built to react to players’ creativity," said Douse. "Combat rewards experimentation, and elemental spells can be layered for max impact. You can cast rain on burning allies, teleport them to safety, and electrify the battlefield to stop enemies in their tracks. If an opponent is too close, you can lash them with temporary tentacles, summon a demon to fight for you, and fly away on your own pair of wings."
