Dontnod Entertainment, the developer behind Life Is Strange, has just released the first ever gameplay trailer for their next game called Vampyr.

In Vampyr, you will play as Jonathan Reid, a doctor turned vampire during the black plague. Much like in Life Is Strange, players will be able to choose some of Reid's dialogue, as well as choose who to feed off of, and who not to. These decisions will impact your karma, as well as story elements. Reid has to struggle with the fact that he now has to take lives to live and the threat of vampire hunters who blame the plague on his kind.

The trailer gives a first look at some of Reid's vampiric powers, including the usual biting, but also teleport-dashing, and summoning big, shadowy tentacles that tear enemies apart. When in non-combat situations, it looks like Vampyr plays a lot like Life Is Strange. The camera gets pretty close to the character, you can look more closely at posters and things on the walls and of course the whole selective dialogue options.

At 14:31, the Vampyr gameplay trailer gives a good presentation as to how the game will feel, look and sound (the music is really awesome). Check it out for yourself below:
