There may have been a leak earlier hinting at it, but we still don't think anyone expected a sequel to the indie hit Ori and the Blind Forest at Microsoft's E3 press conference. But a pianist appeared live on stage, the haunting music began, then we got the lush fantasy visuals that led to the confirmation: Ori's sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, is now headed to Xbox One and Windows 10, complete with a teaser trailer seen below.

Details on the plot are light right now, of course, but the trailer showed more of the highly detailed, lush environments that the first game was known for, along with several strange and unique creatures, including some rather massive ones. Eventually, we came to Ori and young owl gathering before a rather haunting sight, immediately generating tears and suggests at the feels to come (and possible new gameplay elements involving our new feathered friend). No release date has been announced yet for Ori and the Will of the Wisps, but apparently this will be an platforming adventure going beyond the forest of Nibel, so keep an eye out for further details concerning what could be an even bigger adventure for our adorable friend.
