Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause series was another one of the unfortunate casualties of the dreaded pre-E3 leak epidemic that seems to have cropped up this year, but needless to say Square Enix we’re still eager to showcase what series protagonist Rico Rodriguez’s fourth outing would look like, but instead left it to Microsoft to unveil Just Cause 4.

The trailer shown off certainly proved the series’ chaotic, often silly levels of violence and destruction were making a return, albeit with a bit more of a gritty, story-focused reveal. Let’s hope Just Cause 4 will be a step up from 2015’s Just Cause 3 both structurally as well as in performance. The game will launch December 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
