A brand new cinematic trailer followed by gameplay began the show this evening at Sony's E3 showcase.

The cinematic portion showed Ellie in a church, hanging out and dancing with her girlfriend and potential reason for revenge against the cult in the sequel. The gameplay shows Ellie in a much more tense environment, as she takes out dozens of cult members. We got our first look at the new UI, Ellie's version of stealth, her weapons, and a few of the new gameplay mechanics that will be a part of The Last of Us II.
