Not really "getting" the Etrian Odyssey series until Persona Q showed me the way of the map, it's kind of fun getting in on the ground floor with the newest mainline game in the series, Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth. I'm really looking forward to exploring a fresh labyrinth, outwitting FOEs, and building up a party of ever increasing strength in this upcoming dungeon crawler. So, of course details of the launch edition are of interest. Those who preorder the game, or snag it right when it comes out this fall, will get some extra goodies, including:

The publisher, Atlus, has also peeled back the curtain a bit on the dragoon class with a short trailer highlighting the profession's powers. Short story, these folks are tanks, capable of soaking up the hits via the use of various guard stances, while returning fire with a hand cannon. This class...could prove to be very useful.
