If you're a fan of television series such as The X-Files and Twin Peaks then you might be interested in Virginia, a new first-person thriller game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game follows graduate FBI agent Anne Tarver as she investigates Kingdom, Virginia with her partner, Maria Halperin, in search of a boy who seemingly vanished from his bedroom. The synopsis for the game is literally as follows:

'1992. George H. W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin officially put an end to the Cold War. Barcelona held the summer Olympic Games. The Tonight Show aired its last show with Johnny Carson... and Lucas Fairfax disappeared from his bedroom in Kingdom, Virginia.'

It is told in the style of TV and film and accentuates the dramatic aspect with a slew of curious characters and a painterly art style that really brings out the vibrancy of it all. It is set to release this year on September 22 but the demo is available to play now on the official Virginia website.
