While we may not be any wiser on Bandai Namco’s recently-revealed new IP, Code Vein so far as an in-depth look on its mechanics or indeed its story details, the release today of its first teaser trailer, does offer glimpses as to the gameplay for this particularly vampiric Action RPG. On top of what looks to be a focus on offensive-based movement, we also get a glimpse of some of the game’s grander and dare we say boss-like foes that players -- alongside a selected companion -- will come face to face with.

For anyone not in the know, Code Vein takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of Earth whereby humanity has all but become extinct -- replaced by a group of vampiric Revenants referred to as Vein, as well as the Lost, creatures whom having succumbed to the same blood-lust Revenants must fight back, roam the World in a mindlessly, feral manner. Aside from a rather vague release window and the fact it is being developed with Unreal Engine, no specific platforms have so far been confirmed, stating simply the game will be coming to "major home consoles" in 2018.
