Ubisoft has revealed that split-screen support will not longer be offered in For Honor.

Those looking to duel their buddies in For Honor from the same couch have been dashed. For Honor producer Stephane Cardin confirmed that split-screen has been scrapped from all versions of the game. He made the revelation during an in-house interview around the 4:24 mark.

"We decided this week to cut the split-screen. It was a feature that we loved, but, when we looked at what needs to be done to support online co-op, for us it was critical to make a decision now so we can polish all the features at the AAA level and make sure that we have the most amazing experience."

No specific reason was given for why the mode was scrapped. Hopefully Ubisoft will elaborate on the omission sometime in the near future. As for the game itself, we walked away from the recent Closed Alpha very impressed. For Honor is out February 14, 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
