One of Microsoft's larger focuses over the last year has been the inclusion of PC ports. They tried it before in the past with Games for Windows, which somewhat failed (especially the LIVE version), but with newer management calling the shots, it seems to be much better than ever before.

This year we'll see a bevy of PC games coming from Microsoft: ReCore, Forza Horizon 3 and of course Gears of War 4. With its release slowly approaching, we now have a look at the final minimum, recommended and even ideal specs for the upcoming third person shooter. Surprisingly, the specs are relatively reasonable:

  • GPU: Radeon R9 290X or RX 480 / Geforce 970 or GTX 1060
  • VRAM: 4GB
  • RAM: 8GB
  • HDD: 80GB

Ideal Specs:

  • OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Update
  • CPU: AMD FX-9590 / I7 4790
  • GPU: Radeon R9 Fury X / Geforce 980 ti or GTX 1080
  • VRAM: 4GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • HDD: SSD + 80GB

In addition, Microsoft has released new gameplay footage in light of Gamescom this week, showing off the game in glorious 4K. Gears of War 4 will be available for Xbox One and PC on October 11.
