It's not every day you see games that are willing to blend or even swap between differing artistic designs and aesthetics in the same entry, but it looks like developer Sabotage Studio are at least attempting something you don't see everyday with their upcoming "generation-leaping" action-platformer The Messenger. One of this Ninja Gaiden-esque platformer's interesting traits is the ability to swap between NES and SNES-like graphics at certain points.
How this will play into the events of the game remains to be seen, but with some tight, challenging platforming on top of some rather "silly bosses" -- as its teaser trailer has no problem admitting to -- The Messenger is looking to be another enticing side-scroller for those looking for a new kick this year. Check out the game's announcement trailer below and be on the look out for The Messenger when it releases across PC and consoles later this year.
