As many of you know, Nintendo recently held an exclusive Splatoon event in Santa Monica, California dubbed the “Splatoon Mess Fest”. Nintendo’s ever-lovely Kit and Krysta seemed to have a blast, but a new video released today provides a closer look at what the rest of the patrons thought of the festivities.

The Mess Fest featured an obstacle course inspired by the gameplay of Splatoon, which means a whole lot of ink and a some friendly competition. The one salient difference between the event and the game, however, is that Mess Fest competitors had no problem communicating with their teammates verbally.
