Nintendo is running a special promotion to celebrate the release of the Pokemon Trading Card Game: XY - Ancient Origins. That special promotion is a shiny Rayquza, which can be yours starting today.

All you need to claim this extremely rare Pokemon is a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, and an internet connection. From the main menu head to Mystery Gift, and select 'Receive Gift via Internet.' Once you've recieved the gift, head to a Pokemon Center and talk to the delivery girl near the desk. Make sure you have space in your party.

You'll want to accept this gift as Shiny Rayquaza is a mighty powerful beast. This Rayquaza knows Dragon Ascent, allowing him to Mega Evolve without a Mega Stone. In addition, his ability removes all flying type weaknesses.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are available now for 3DS. Shiny Rayquaza will be available until September 14.
