2013’s Guacamelee was a pleasant surprise from DrinkBox Studios, thanks to creative platforming, genuinely challenging combat and plenty of heart within the 2D side-scroller.

Last year, the indie team revealed a sequel during Paris Games Week, complete with four-player co-op and brand new abilities. Now, DrinkBox Studios has revealed that Guacamelee 2 will be launching on PS4 and PC on August 21, and to celebrate, they have released a brief new trailer which can be seen below. Considering that the original Guacamelee released on Sony platforms first over a year before it reached other platforms, Xbox One and Switch owners may still be able to get their share of this luchadore-based adventure in the future.
