When tinyBuild debuted the Halloween trailer for Hello Neighbor a couple of days ago, some shard-eyed spectators noted that if you paused the video at the exact right moment during the 1:07 mark, you could see a single frame of what appeared to be the Neighbor inside of Bendy and the Ink Machine. If you haven't heard, Bendy and the Ink Machine is another recent indie horror game from this year with a massive sudden fanbase, an episodic survival horror tale about an animator discovering the occult workings at their '30s-era animation studio. So in the spirit of such works as Freddy vs. Jason, why not have a crossover between two of the biggest names in gaming horror this Halloween?

The end result is Hello Bendy, an event with an official mod for Hello Neighbor and an official mod for Bendy and the Ink Machine, both of which are the default builds in each title for this occasion (though you can still opt for the regular games, of course). And as the trailer below shows, mixing together creepy neighbors and creepy cartoons does indeed make for some unsettling moments, to say the least. Hello Neighbor will be available December 8, with the beta available now, and Bendy and the Ink Machine is now available with three out of five chapters released so far, so feel free to check either out if you want to see what the young'uns are into getting scared by these days.
