After the debacle that was Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, many thought that developer Big Huge Games would never return. Many of the staff, however, were acquired by Epic Games to form Epic Baltimore in 2012, which turned out to be short lived as the studio closed less than a year later. Not ones to admit defeat, it was reported earlier this month that founders Brian Reynolds and Tim Train had acquired the "Big Huge Games" name at auction from Rhode Island and that they would be using it for their new venture formerly known as SecretNewCo.

Their first game was today announced to be DomiNations, a mobile game that takes a page from Civilization, Rise of Nations and Clash of Clans. Players will be able to choose a nation from among the greatest civilizations in the world and lead it to victory throughout phases of human history.
