Life Is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment and Alien: Isolation studio The Creative Assembly emerged triumphant at this year’s Develop Awards in Brighton, England.
Alien: Isolation, which sold more than two million copies and received six BAFTA nominations, picked up three of its awards in Use of a Licence or IP, Audio Accomplishment and Creative Outsourcer.
Meanwhile, Dontnod Entertainment’s story-driven episodic series fought off strong competition to scoop the New Games IP - PC/Console and Use of Narrative accolades.
Tim and Chris Stamper, the founders of British-based developer Rare, were presented with the Development Legend award, with Tim also announcing his latest project: a mobile title called ‘Cat Logic.’
Over 20 awards were handed out during a ceremony that had more than 150 companies in attendance, with some of the other winners including Rockstar North (In-House Studio), Monolith Productions’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (Creative Outsourcer – Visual & Development) and Unity Technologies’ Unity 5 (Engine).
