There are a lot of people in the world who wish they could play games but find themselves unable to do to a disability. Microsoft is looking to lend a helping hand with its new Xbox Adaptive Controller. The controller, which looks like a mini-turntable, will accommodate any disability. There are ways to play games with one hand, one foot or even a shoulder. This is done by connecting switches via the 3.5 mm jacks available on the unit. Joysticks can be plugged in via the USB port on the unit, as well. The Adaptive Controller can also be mounted with a wide array of options and buttons can be remapped using the Xbox Accessories App. The controller is also wireless with an internal battery that is good for 25 hours of gameplay and can be recharged using a USB-C cable. Lastly, the Xbox Adaptive Controller can be paired as a co-pilot with a traditional Xbox One controller. The new Xbox Adaptive Controller will be available later this year. You can read more about the origin design of the controller here.
