Microsoft has released a new multiplayer focused trailer for developer The Coalition’s highly anticipated third-person shooter Gears of War 4.

Played to DJ Shadow's “Nobody Speak” (featuring Run The Jewels), The Coalition’s latest Gears of War 4 trailer showcases the multiplayer combat in full flow.

Game modes like Dodgeball and Co-op Versus, both of which are currently playable in Gears of War 4’s beta, are highlighted in the trailer, while the developer also reveals a new game type being introduced to the series: Escalation.

Escalation, according to the trailer (posted below), is a mode that intensifies the action in a match by spawning power weapons at different places on the map.

Along with showing off new weapons like the Buzzkill and Dropshot -- the latter features in the beta -- The Coalition has confirmed that five fan-favorite modes will be returning for Gears of War 4: Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Guardian, Warzone and Execution.

Since Monday, April 18, The Coalition has been sending out early access codes to the Gears of War 4 beta for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners.

As of this Sunday, April 24, the Gears of War 4 beta will be made public to all Xbox Live Gold members, allowing everyone to experience the Xbox-exclusive shooter title before the beta ends on May 1.

The Coalition announced last month that it would be making an appearance at PAX East this month, with the Gears of War 4 developer holding a panel called ‘Out of the Shadows: Inside Gears of War Multiplayer with The Coalition.’

Running on the Unreal Engine 4, Gears of War 4 will launch worldwide on October 11 for Xbox One.

The Coalition is currently running a video series for the Gears of War 4 beta, titled ‘Beta Tutorials,’ helping out both series veterans and newcomers with some useful tips and tricks on different modes and maps.
