During the Anime Expo over this past weekend, developer Lab Zero Games showed off a new animated intro for its upcoming game Indivisible. The hybrid platform/RPG game that takes queues from Valkyria Chronicles and Metroid-vania will focus on the character Ajna as she discovers why the world she inhabits and why she has these powers. The game features side-scrolling exploration with a battle system that features multiple characters with different skills and combinations. You can read our preview about the game here.

As for the new animation short, it was created by Emmy award-winning animation production company Titmouse (Avatar: The Last Airbender, Nick Kroll's Big Mouth) and anime studio TRIGGER (Little Witch Academia). The animation is completely hand-drawn and features music by game composer Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Soul Caliber V). Kikuta will also be doing the soundtrack for the game, itself.

The complete animated intro will be available as the opening sequence of the game. It will introduce the player to Ajna and is directed by Yoh Yoshinari (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Little Witch Academia). Indivisible is being published by 505 games and will release sometime in the first half of 2019 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. You can check out the animated short below and help get a feel for the art behind the game.
