Koei Tecmo America revealed some new features from upcoming strategy game Samurai Warriors 4 Empires today. Namely, these are Character Substitution and Castle Customization. Character Substitution allows players to customize the playable characters' appearances, political standing, family crests, Musou kanji, portraits, and move sets. They can even be switched with historical characters in unlocked cutscenes. Castle Customization lets players build and customize a castle to their specifications, as well as decorate it. This includes unlockable decorative wallpapers and banners earned from missions. Of course, these banners also bring in bonuses like increased wealth or fame.

See the gameplay videos showing off Character Substitution and Castle Customization below respectively. Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on March 15.
