After weeks of hints and small reveals, Ubisoft has released a new in-depth interview with one of Rainbow Six: Siege’s designers that details all the new additions arriving in today’s update, entitled “Operation Skull Rain.”

In the interview below, Ubisoft Montreal game designer Jean-Baptiste Halle, lays out the weapons and abilities of both of the new playable operators, Capitão and Caveira. The attacker, Capitão, has a tactical crossbow with oxygen-burning bolts, plus access to micro-smoke grenades, while the defender, Caveira, has the intriguing ability to immobilize and interrogate enemies through stealth, allowing her access to the enemy’s locations. Halle also details the new map, Favela, which provides more opportunities for wall and floor destruction than most maps of the past, forcing players to constantly be on the move. Operation Skull Rain also adds a new grip, anti-cheating measures, audio, visual, and UI improvements, plus an all-new Tactical Realism Mode, which removes the player’s ability to mark enemies, as well as many of the HUD elements, fostering a more cautious and intense style of play.

Operation Skull Rain is playable now for all owners of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, which is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
