Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today announced the return of another classic kombatant, Nightwolf.

Born as Grey Cloud, Nightwolf was selected by the Great Spirit to become the Matoka tribe's champion. Playable in Mortal Kombat 2011, Nightwolf died alongside a bunch of heroes during Sindel's assault. He only made a cameo appearance in Mortal Kombat X. However, he's back as a DLC fighter in Mortal Kombat 11.

Nightwolf utilizes his spirit energy to create a wide range of melee and ranged weapons. He possesses many of his signature attacks, including his rush ability, lightning bold, and projectile deflection. In Mortal Kombat 11, Nightwolf can summon spirit animals to attack his opponents or protect himself. His default appearance is his shaman outfit rather than his Revenant look.

Nightwolf is the second of six confirmed DLC fighters to join the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Shang Tsung joined the fight last month, and Sindel and Spawn are still waiting their turns. An additional two guest characters are in development, but their identities remain a mystery at this point.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. Nightwolf launches August 13 for Kombat Pack owners.
