Visual computing giant NVIDIA have joined the Fallout 4 modding community with an add-on containing a little of NVIDIA's GameWorks middleware software suite features. Named Vault 1080, NVIDIA's mod brings heavy volumetric lighting effects and improved shadows, topped off with NVIDIA's HBAO+ ambient occlusion. Essentially, it's a lighting mod that introduces very moody light rays into Fallout 4. Vault 1080, though not a lore-friendly name, is also a new location in the game world, bringing along its own questline complete with areas meant to fully feature the mod's lighting adjustments.
