Pillars of Eternity and South Park: The Stick of Truth developer Obsidian announced a new isometric, old-school RPG named "Tyranny." As the name implies, Tyranny places the player under the rule of Kyros the Overlord whose armies have subjugated the Tiers. Specifically, the player is a Fatebinder - a judge and executioner of Kyros' law, answering to Overlords Archon of Justice, Tunon the Adjudicator. Perhaps the most interesting part of this premise in that the player takes the role of enacting a conqueror's tyrannic rule. Evil has won and now the world is under his rule, but the player must them enact the decrees of said rule. As an RPG, choice is a prime factor and the player can make different kinds of impact on the game world with decisions that affect thousands. That said, this is definitely something more along the lines of Pillars of Eternity or Baldur's Gate. The small snippets of gameplay in the first trailer indicate the game will be an isometric adventure with pre-rendered environments, textboxes, and tactical combat based on numbers, percentages, and dice rolls.
