Ori and the Blind Forest originally came out on March 11, 2015, but developer Moon Studios has went back and updated the game to create a definitive edition. After several delays that pushed the updated version out of the fall 2015 window we finally got a release date last week. Today we get a new trailer highlighting some of the improvements and a revised release schedule for Steam and Windows 10 Store.

The game has been described by developers as a ‘Metroidvaina’ style platformer set in a beautifully rendered 2D world full of memorable characters. The Definitive Edition boasts full backtracking support, new abilities, fresh story sequences, fast travel and more.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will hit Xbox One for $19.99 on March 11, 2016. The Steam and Windows 10 version will need some extra time to ensure it’s quality and Moon Studios plans to share that information soon. The update can be purchased as DLC for $4.99 if you already own the original game.
