During today's Nintendo Direct, two new Monster Hunter games were announced for the 3DS. What's better is that we even got trailers to show off for them. The first title is Monster Hunter X, which looks to bring the usual MonHun gameplay back to the 3DS. The graphics appear to be the best yet on the 3DS, so longtime fans should be in for a treat.

The second title is Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village DX. Poka Poka changes things up quite a bit. Instead of a 3D David vs. Goliath game, you get a super-cute side-scrolling platformer with a bit of 3D adventure gaming mixed in for good measure.

There's no exact word on when these games are due out in Japan, let alone North America. Of the two, Monster Hunter X seems like a must for an international release while Poka Poka is a bit more iffy. We'll keep you updated on what's going on with these games as time goes on.
