Square Enix has finally revealed when the final single player DLC for Final Fantasy XV, Episode Ignis, will launch on PS4 and Xbox One.

Episode Ignis is set to release this December on PS4 and Xbox One. The latest character-based DLC will put players in the shoes of Ignis and will explore what happened to him during the fight with Leviathan during Chapter 9. It was also revealed that parts of the DLC will be PS VR compatible.

Much like Noctis' other friends, Ignis' play style is completely different from Noct's. Ignis utilizes dual-knives to slice and dice his opponents and is even capable to hitting multiple enemies at a time. He will team up with Ravus at certain points during the story, and will come face-to-face with Ardyn. Square Enix also confirmed that Yasunori Mitsuda, renowned for his work on Chrono Trigger, is the guest composer for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis is available for download on December 13 on PS4 and Xbox One.
