With only a few days until the launch of FromSoftware's highly anticipated title Bloodborne, the group thought it would be a good time to share some information about the game's weapon customization.

Bloodborne's currency is called Blood Echoes and is earned through a few different means, but mostly killing beasts. You'll use Blood Echoes much like Souls in the Souls' games to purchase items and repair your weapons. In order to increase the power of your weapons you'll need to use items called Blood Gems.

Further separating itself from Souls games is the inclusion of Caryll Runes. CAryll Runes are items that you'll use to upgrade your character. Some will allow you to carry more items in your inventory or receive more Blood Echoes from a kill. There are a few different options made available.

Lastly, if you own an official PlayStation Gold, Silver, or Pulse Elite headset on March 24 you'll be able to download a custom Bloodborne Audio Mode. All you need to do is use the headset companion app while playing the game on March 24. Also released today was a 90 second extended TV commercial.

Bloodborne is a PlayStation 4 exclusive and is scheduled to release on March 24.
