Pokémon GO has been a steady hit since releasing years ago and continues offering new content and events. A new season is coming soon and it seems like something completely different... yet very familiar for players to check out.

Season of Heritage is the name and of course we can imply it has to do with the past. The YouTube video's description states, "In the next Pokémon GO Season, we’ll look to the past for answers that will help guide us into the future of Pokémon GO!" With Pokémon Legends Arceus launching on the Switch in January, you'll be playing a game set in the past. This Pokémon GO event appears to have similar art style but the mountain and tower shown don't appear to be part of the Sinnoh region. They look to be from Johto and when compared to the image below we see similarities between Mt. Silver and the Brass Tower.

Perhaps Pokémon GO is going tap a little bit into the centuries of the Johto region before Gold and Silver much like Legends Arceus for Diamond and Pearl. It would certainly be interesting for two different titles to have a similar concept allowing fans to discover the past in new ways. No other news has been posted yet so we'll have to wait for more announcements.
