Poochy fans rejoice, Yoshi's lovable dog-like companion is making his way to the Wii U version of Yoshi's Woolly World to help out on his yarn adventures. The 3DS version of Yoshi's Woolly World is planned to release February 3 ext year and on this same day the Wii U game will receive an update allowing the new Poochy amiibo to be compatible. While it won't unlock the 3DS exclusive Poochy time trial levels, it will allow players to summon Poochy to their side while they play.

No additional details were given about the Wii U update but hopefully we'll hear more news early next year.
