Steam Early Access sandbox crafting RPG, Portal Knights, has received a new update bringing in over a hundred NPCs. For those following along with the game's progress, the new NPCs will also bring quests, side stories, and trading options with them. Those unfamiliar with Portal Knights should know that it's an indie multiplayer sandbox game developed by Keen Games and published by 505 Games. There is a heavy focus on crafting, making it immediately similar to the likes of Minecraft. Portal Knights also includes RPG mechanics, a third-person real-time battle system, as well as many different quests and loot.

The game's namesake comes from the different, randomly-generated 3D worlds players can travel to. Thanks to the newest update, Portal Knights now also includes cute little pets, new buildings and props, new "Drafting Table" for furniture, and new weather features. To top it off, attacking and mining can now be done while mobile.

Portal Knights is currently on Steam Early Access for $14.99.
