As Rainbow Six: Siege prepares to enter its second year of new characters and stages, Ubisoft has posted a short clip teasing the newest operator before the official reveal next weekend.

As shown in the trailer below, the new Attacker, who goes by the name of Jackal, has the rather impressive ability to track down players via their footprints, thanks to the “special light-and-goggles combo” that he has access to. Clearly aimed at punishing players who move too far away from the objective they are supposed to be defending, Jackal’s potential is already one worth considering, and it will be intriguing to see if the newest Defender will offer any counters to this arguably game-changing ability.

While the full game is already out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, fans will have to wait a little bit longer to get the full scoop on the two new attackers and the new stage, as Ubisoft is waiting to reveal that at the Rainbow Six Invitational, which takes place next weekend. Until then, catch up on Hardcore Gamer’s review of the launch version of Rainbow Six: Siege, to see how the game has changed since adding one season’s worth of DLC.
