Remedy Games, known for their work on Max Payne, Alan Wake, and this year's Quantum Break, posted a short video on Twitter and YouTube teasing their next game in an extremely odd way.

The teaser, which runs only 20 seconds long, simply has Remedy's creative director, Sam Lake, introducing himself a few times, and then throws up the words "New Game Trailer" and "Coming Soon." At the end of this strange tease, though, is a melody that is seemingly happier and more cutsie than we're used to from Remedy's games. Check it out below:

Fans are wondering if this could be the return of Alan Wake, one of the studio's best games. They have said in the past that they would one day return to the series, and now that they are done with Quantum Break, it seems now might be the right time.

The "coming soon" aspect also hints at a Game Awards debut, as that is the next event that is known to have big announcements, and one of the final ones of the year. Stay tuned to Hardcore Gamer for all of our Game Awards coverage, happening on December 1.
